I’m a retired military vet.  I am also disabled.  I’ve fought the system for years to update and get evaluated for my medical condition and the beurocracy is monsterous.  Not only is it a maze to navigate but the Veteran’s Administration will not provide you with all the information you need to properly process your documents.  THEY WILL NOT ADVANCE any information or provide you with the proper procedures unless you already know the right questions to ask. 

Also their guidelines for longterm illnesses that develop after years of exposure to “toxic” conditons while active duty does not consider that those illnesses do not show up till much past the 24 month “cutoff” for applying for disability. They understand immediate physical damage but illness that show up later like cancer or reactions years later to asbestos or Agent Orange or toxic chemicals used in cleaning and armarment applications are not in their vocabulary.  They will not acknowledge those conditions after the 24 months from discharge/retirement.

This is how our ungrateful government treats our fine young men who sacrifice themselves for service to the United States of America.  They willingly put themselves in harms way for our country.  They go where our “elustrious” (HA!) Commander-in-Chief directs them to go and then when they are injured to the point that they are no longer useable by the military, they get the boot out the door to fend for themselves and fight through the quagmire that is the Veteran’s Administration.

It makes me sick to the stomach that we all say “We Support Our Troops!” and then our government ignores what becomes of them when they sacrifice themselves for “US”. 

If this makes you sick… If this makes your guts turn in anguish at their treatment…  Then for once get off your ass and stop being “Sheeple”…   Stop being “Oh, it don’t affect me so I don’t care” pathetic excuse of a citizen of this country…   Make your voice heard in Congress, in the Pentigon, in the Damn Friggin White House!  TAKE BACK THIS COUNTRY and STOP BEING SHEEPLE!!!
